About the Company
Based on the french Atlantic coast, Y.T.I. is a young company providing various and customized services for both yacht owners or boat building yards: on-site assistance or emergency repairs, preparation and modification of boats for long offshore journeys abroad, hand over and training on newly acquired yachts, but also ​expertise before buying or selling.
Thanks to 15 years+ experience in the ​nautical field -building, preparation, refit and navigation, the Y.T.I. team is available for any kind of mission within Europe, the Atlantic and the Mediterranean shores.

Rigging, deck fittings and equipment

Removal and installation of masts and spars, rig tuning, installation or maintenance on all deck equipment (winches, windlasses, running rigging, steering systems, davits, solar panels, etc.), safety equipment, rope splicing.

Hull, rudders and laminated spars repairs, gelcoat and varnish works

Epoxy lamination on glass or carbon fibers, whether hull, structure or interior arrangements, repair on delaminated areas, and various cosmetic finition ( gelcoat, varnish, etc.). Decking materials and accessories.

Electrical, refrigeration, electronics

Installation, modification or repair on all electrical systems (batteries, chargers & converters, solar panels, pumps, lighting, etc.) and on-board electronics. Diagnosis and repairs on refrigeration, kitchen and air conditioning equipment.

Plumbing, desalination and tanks

All work on water systems, desalinators, but also bilge pumping and toilets. Intervention on all types of tanks, piping, and pumps for transfer or evacuation.

Mechanical systems, propulsion, generators, and hydraulics

Maintenance on diesel engines, and all types of repairs that do not involve disassembling the engine block or injection pumps. Saildrive systems or propeller shafts. Outboard engines (2 or 4 stroke) up to 250CV or jet, Williams type. Maintenance and repair on the mechanical parts of generators of all brands. Various hydraulic systems (cylinders, vangs, powerpacks, etc.)

Carpentry and joinery

Repair, maintenance or manufacture of both interior carpentry (cabinets, floorboards, companionways, etc.) or exterior woodwork (decking, cockpit benches, companionway hatches, etc.). Varnish and other various treatments. Manufacture of small customized parts. Our experience includes the complete rebuilding a 65sqm teak deck.

Dinghies, compressors, and miscellaneous equipment

From the tender and its davits, to the dive compressor or a bow thruster, we can install, repair or maintain most of the equipment found on recent yachts. We're also here to advise you on brands and models according to your specific needs and budget, having the experience in maintenance and repairs for many years and in over 30 countries.

Newly purchased boat hand-overs, offshore sailing preparation

With the experience of around ten trans-oceanic crossings (Atlantic, Pacific, Indian Ocean), in the Mediterranean, the Red Sea and the Caribbean, we are able to advise you and prepare both the ship, her owner and crew for long voyages abroad. Equipment, spares and storage, routine or emergency procedures, as well as planning safe crossings and where are the best stop-over ports and anchorages. We also train owners to maneuver and use technical equipment such as furling booms, desalinators, or efficiently manage the charge of their battery bank.

Loic Kerbrat

Director, Senior Partner

Founder of Yacht Tech International, Loic was a Naval Maintenance Technician for several yacht construction and preparation yards (Fountaine Pajot, Nautitech, Uchimata) before turning to sailing as a skipper and assisting owners during their voyages. Before creating Y.T.I., he was Senior Technician and Customer Trainer for After Sales Service, repairs, and handling of Xquisite catamarans in the Bahamas. Catamarans from 12 to 17m are his specialty.

Franck Steinberg

Partner, co-manager

An offshore aquaculture engineer, then a professional scuba diver, Franck started offshore sailing in 2006 and has since been Captain/Engineer on sailing yachts from 20 to 40m traveling around the world. Numerous periods of refit, repairs or modifications allow him to be confident on most technical aspects. Before joining Y.T.I., he was responsible for the fleet of yachts and speedboats for the Four Seasons Hotel in the Red Sea.
